The Ingredients

Mouthwatering pizza dough with just two ingredients? Count me in! Here’s what you need to add to your shopping list.

  • Bobby T’s Perfect Pizza Dough. This one-of-a-kind product from BBQ Bob is a must-have for any pizza aficionado. It contains a mix of yeast, flour, and salt, with no gross fillers. If you like shortcut ingredients that taste gourmet, you’ll adore this mix. One bag makes 2-3 pizzas. While you’re at it, check out his pizza seasoning and sauce, too!
  • Water. This pizza dough needs warm water to help the yeast develop. Note that with this recipe, you want to use a precise amount of water to ensure your dough turns out right. No guesswork here! This dough mix requires 8 ounces of water PER BAG to help the flour hydrate.

The Process for Making Pizza Dough

With Bobby T’s Perfect Pizza Dough, pizza night has never been easier! To see a visual demonstration of how to use this product, watch the accompanying video. For now, here’s a quick rundown of how this recipe came together.

  • Mix the dough. To make the pizza dough, we placed Bobby T’s Perfect Pizza Dough in a large mixing bowl. Then, we created a well in the center of the mix and slowly added the warm water. Using our hands, we gently incorporated the dough mix into the water. This will take a few minutes, so be patient.  When the dough is hydrated, it’ll come into a ball. Your hands will get sticky during this step, but you can counteract this by adding a little olive oil or water to your hands.

  • Start kneading. We removed the dough from the bowl and used the palms of our hands to knead the flour into the dough. The end goal is to get all of the flour to absorb the dough’s water, giving it the perfect consistency. Kneading the dough helps the gluten develop, so be sure to take your time.

  • Let the dough proof. Bobby T’s Perfect Pizza Dough can be proofed two different ways. You can do a cold ferment by placing the dough in your refrigerator covered for 24 hours, or you can do same-day dough, which is what we did. For same-day dough, we covered the dough with plastic and let it rest for 15 minutes. Then, we divided our dough into four smaller balls, placed them in a container, covered them with plastic, and set them on the counter to proof for four hours at room temperature. The dough balls should be equal in size, and you may want to weigh them to ensure the pizzas cook at the same time.

The Results

Bobby T’s Perfect Pizza Dough was easy to make and came together quickly. When risen, the dough created the perfect base for any pizza.

Storing Leftovers

As Bob said in the video, you can make this dough ahead of time and let it proof overnight (or 24 hours) in the fridge. Once your dough is made up, you can also freeze it and store it, tightly wrapped in plastic, for up to three months. Keep in mind that if you’re making your pizza dough from frozen, you’ll need to give it time to thaw and let it re-rise for 1-2 hours.
